Unfortunately, these words, don't match with the tone in the rest of your post.

Where have I had a go at the people trying to help exactly? If you read it properly then my beef is mainly with the developer who have pulled the wool over everyones eyes and the inner council chamber who have been less than supportive. But does anybody really think that £12million is going to just come the trusts way? To keep pushing for that may result in nothing at all. At some point soon then it may have to be a case of cut and run or risk losing the lot. But that there there call, as I have said good luck with your efforts. I'll happily keep my opinons to myself in future which i'm sure will please the majority on here.

I've worked in planning at local government level for over twenty years starting at WMDC, so I know how the system works. Although I live down south these days I also still have connections there and within the building trade. Being Wakefield born and bred I also have been a Trinity fan all my life, albeit now from afar, so funnily enough I take an interest. I haven't been wrong with my predictions so far but you carry on trying to belittle everyone who posts on here who won't suck up to you. I've seen the way you post and talk to people and quite frankly your attitude stinks and your reputation as one of the most laughable contributors to this website is very much justified. It won't wash with me i'm afraid, i've come up successfully against people with more bite than you. But it is people like you who have turned this forum into the poor relation of what it once was. You don't enter into debate, you stomp yout little feet and get personal. Get over yourself.

But in the interest of keeping the peace i'll happily go and 'do one' (how mature of you) and leave you all to hopefully glean something out of this mess. It's not worth the hassle. Good luck, you're going to need it.

Bye.

You're not on your own in that stance, I had my say as soon as it became common knowledge that YCP had circumvented the S106. My words were something along the lines of, they've revealed their intentions. IMO it was time back then, about a year ago, to go for the people involved with all that we had. We should have gone straight to the SoS Office, The media, the WMDC etc.

At the same time I too praised those who are persevering with their strategy and I will support them in spite of having a different opinion on things. I respect the time and effort that those individuals are putting into this cause and I wish them success.

I'm a supporter of some 40 odd years and watch home and away, attend Scolarship and Academy matches and pay into 1873. My opinion is as valid as the next mans and just because I don't share the same idea on how to move forward doesn't make me less of a supporter or mean I'm being critical.
Colin Mackie has stitched the Community up and won't lose a wink of sleep about it. The biggest question for me is who else knew about the stitch up.

So the details from the meeting are vague but we know a) - It was disappointing and b) - Newmarket is still possible.

Same as the last time then so why the doom and gloom?
In what way was the meeting a disappointment?
No one surely expected YCL to come up with some brass for BV surely?

Keep up the good work TRB and all invovled.

I think it is disappointing as it was believed that we were further forward with negotiations as it turns out we are.

Moderators please note everyone should allowed to have their opinions on rugby the club and how it is run without having to suffer personal abuse and threats from Vastman.

Yorkcourt don't have the money for a stadium even with the further development of the area allowed beforehand, they never did have hence the loosely worded S106 giving them a get out of jail free card. They have (and continue to do so) strung this along for as long as possible to wait until there is another 'community' stadium build agreed just a couple of junctions up the motorway thus giving Wakefield council a nice little get out clause as well. Don't tell me, you have another meeting in a month or so, specifically after the 19th Feb? Just after a rather important council meeting for Castleford Tigers and the Lateral group i'd expect. That project will get chosen as the councils preferred option for that area without a doubt which will finally extinguish any remnants of support for a stadium at Newmarket.

The stadium trust, Wakefield Trinity and the local residents have been done up like a kipper and as i've been saying for months Newmarket is dead in the water. Eric Pickles and his communities department have a new mandate that is pushing more and more decisions to a local level so a complaint to him will likely result in him letting the council adjudicate on the planning issue. Which way do you think they would go? And a legal fight would be way too expensive for the trust to consider. If there is an option of any money at all on the table that can go towards Belle Vue then it has to be worth considering because you just are not going to get everything you want. YCP will just landbank NM for as long as is needed for it not to be an issue anymore, they are in no rush, they don't have businesses signed up for the development right now anyway. The longer this goes on the more likely it is that the trust will end up with nothing out of it, i doubt the Bank of Ireland will want to sit on BV forever. It is a nice piece of real estate that already has planning for housing and to date hasn't yet been given ACV status. Although all that does is buy six months of time, it doesn't secure the ground long term. Also the superbowl and gym won't be available forever. YCP have no legal responbility to build us anything and they have already showed us their moral standing. If it is left too late and the land is sold from under the clubs feet than expect the push for a groundshare to start up again. Lets not even go there.

I have nothing but the utmost respect for the people who have been fighting the battle and thanks to them the club may end up with something, even if it is just the ground and maybe surrounding area back in the clubs name. But the time has come for some tough decisions to be made and make sure something at least is gleaned from this rather than nothing at all.

I agree

Abuse perhaps but I'd have thought you'd be OK with that seeing as you give enough or are you one of those who gives it but can't take it?.

Threats! where exactly?

Because some folk just love making mischief.

I personally have little idea where we are at the moment - exactly what I expected because unlike some I don't think I am centre of the universe.
