Surely, any worries about the new playing surface would have been addressed both before the pitch was laid and after it was laid ?

I remember when Trinity were the first side to play on the new plastic pitch at Widnes, there were issues with cut knees etc.
It's staggering that there can be any serious problems.

Lets hope it's something that can be dealt with and settle down quickly ?

The whingers in full force on face ache are all over us like a rash this morning, about this, with the usual, we need to be kicked out if the super league, with our poor facilities and poor squad.

Out of curiosity and not pitch related, did Catalams fix the issues they were having with their stadium.

Just watched some of the Wigan game....
Jeez it was like the 2023 and not the 1983 version of me playing out wide....
Anyway, it wasn't a good performance - but it was only 2pts.
They didn't get any bonus points for scoring 60, just like we didn't when we scored 72 v Hull.....
Think a poster mentioned the "good start" by the Dire....
Well they won the first three last season, but that didn't end well......
Need to see a massively improved performance on Friday.

Well it certainly isn’t a good situation.

It should be a short term issue. It maybe something that can be rectified quickly.

If not I guess the most obvious solution would be to swap the next home fixture to away (playing at home later in season) or possibly swap all March home fixtures.

Until the pitch is inspected (If that’s actually true ofcourse) we are just speculating I guess.

Huddersfield Town at home on Saturday so I'd say that's pretty much impossible to reverse the fixture.

Interesting to see what happens if it's not fit to play.

Although the social media accounts have posted a message to say we are 'back at home on Friday'. Make what you will of that

Can happen easily, even with grass pitches....
Only takes skin to break and then bleed leading to cross-infection from grass, mud or sand.
Add in a bit of sweat and/or water and bingo!
There is your infection risk/infection.

Back in my day you were advised to make sure your tetanus jabs were up to date before playing at Odsal.
