Nothing to do with North South divide, Our council have failed us, my opinion is that Box never had any intention of a letting a Community stadium be built at Newmarket.

If it's posturing from the club then it's a bad idea. Trinity will not survive outside of Wakefield without a guarantee of their return to the city.

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats will today serve 6 months notice to depart Belle Vue. The current rent situation means the club cannot be sustained at BV and they will seek to agree the use of alternative facilities outside of Wakefield. It is now vital that we make rapid and tangible steps towards our goal of making Newmarket a reality.

Risky move. If Trinity vacate does this play into the hands of the developer who is sniffing around BV?

By moving on do Trinity relinquish any rights they may have to purchase the ground on a first refusal basis.

I suppose all this begs the question. Is the old girl iconic enough?
