lacks a yard of pace but only Les Sheard and Harrold Box maybe Garry Spencer have being better since I have supported Trinity

If true Brian Noble must rate him and I would say he is a better judge than 99% of the posters on this site

When Did Gaz Spencer get some pace then. Must have been after he left school.

it all starts at the back when he fields the kicks. it gives the pack less groundto cover if hed make some ground, then we would be on the front foot and rolling forward. sorry but hes a snail, not to mention the times hes let the ball bounce or hes moved out of the way when run at, or positioned himself so he didnt haveto makethe tackle.

Total rubbish. He plays behind a beaten team for the majority of the time to suggest that if he returned the ball quicker things would improve is laughable the quicker he returns the ball the quicker some of the jokers in front of him wil lose it and he'll be back in the same position again. As for letting the ball bounce he is as solid under the high ball as you could hope for and must make more 1 on 1 tackles than any other full back in the league given again that he plays behind a beaten team the majority of the time. Anybody who thinks replacing Blaymire is in anyway a priority or will in anyway improve our side is either blind, stupid or both.

Wow! We had an outbreak of sensible posting for a while then. Sadly the run is now broken.
I seem to remember MB having a run if tries before this season. He would pop up in the line and often score as extra man. We just not good enough to do those moves any more.

I completely agree, the reason why people are moaning about him is because he isn't scoring the amount of trys he used to but this is because we don't currently have the quality in the team to link him into moves.

Re: Blaymire to Crusaders : Sun Sep 19, 2010 2:56 pm
Murphys best position is fullback . Blaymire many thanks but not a threat far too slow. Why would crusaders want him that Elliot Kear is there 2nd choice fullback and hes a lot better than Blaymire.

In the Express today he is going to Crusaders. Hope this is true, as he is no attacking threat whatsoever. And with JJP lined up to fill the other centre spot, hopefully this will mean Murphy becomes our first choice full back.

Matt has been one of our consistent peformers this year, "rats and sinking ship spring to mind" Matt's ball return is good, he is solid at the back, and he would be one of the 1st on my team sheet every week, and besides JJP is untested at SL level and Blaymire is English, maybe you get a pair of boots with your season ticket at this rate Johnny Thompson will be turning out for the Trin, saying that at least he would give 110% to the cause.
3 weeks to pre- pre season and no new players :BOOHOO:
