I agree I can't see developers wanting to keep the old East stand at Belle Vue either. However, and I know it's wishful thinking and it will never happen, it would be nice to see our famous old pitch remain as a public park.

You never know it might actually be a feature that would help to sell those expensive apartments and family dwellings that every developer is moaning about not being able to shift.

Here's a picture of the Highbury development just to give you an idea what I'm talking about.

I have often wondered if the old Main stand was still inplace it may have had listed status put on it by now. Probably just as well it got pulled dpwn

Highbury is in an area where apartments are in demand - London wages, enough young people with money the afford and desire that lifestyle.

Belle Vue needs more.... erm....wouldn't like to say, but Wakey does seem to have a glut of apartments that are too impractial and expensive for the needs of the population.

Have to admit that is a sensitive and quality redevelopment. Sadly there is literally nothing left at BV even remotely worth saving apart from the pitch - and that won't happen sadly.
