In Springfield, they're eating the dogs, the people that came in. They're eating the cats! They're eating the pets!

 I sure would have liked it; then again I wouldn't be boasting about it being success. You get nowt for second kid, the position you lot were in you should have cleaned up, ended up wi sweet F.A.

If it was a boast, then fair play, to reach a C.C final is a superb achievement, Hell, I still refer to it as the major accolade in my pathetic allegiance to this club.

As for being one win away from winning the league, I can’t even envisage a time we’ll come anywhere near being that close.

It’s not like he’s boasting on the board of one of them proper clubs.

True, they ended up wi nowt but I still would have swapped a trip to Wembley and fourth place for what we finished up with. Wouldn't you?

8th and not falling at the 1st CC game would be a pretty successful season for us next year and that's way below Cas's performance this year.

I assume you mean quiet. Well if so you are correct as I was completely silent cos I wasn't even present on this board till this season.

Anyway can I take this opportunity to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a successful new year. :DRUNK:

Fair enough in many respects - though I think your a touch harsh on ourselves relative to Cas. From 2004 to 2010 we were by far the better more dominant club with a top 6 run that nearly left us 1 game away from winning it had a pass stuck and a few top 8's and a CCup semi we lost on kicks, sadly a bit like Cas last year we failed to capitalise to the full. We had our time, hopefully it will return ASAP.

In fact the Cas side of 2014 reminds me of our 2004 team but not quite as good to watch for me.

In the S.L era our 2004 season was probably the best, yet it still doesn’t compare to Castleford’s efforts last season.

They were eighty minutes away from winning both the L.L.S & the C.C, & whilst we may have had the bragging rights for the majority of that time, in the scheme of things, it’s a paltry achievement.

In fact, the moment I was most elated during our time so far in S.L was when we were given the 2nd licence – how sad is that  .

Again I don't agree entirely in that ours was spread across a longer period whilst theirs was one season - but opinions differ.

As for the licence - me to. It's a sad it's become such a part of the game but until we and Cas sort out infrastructures out we will both be also rans.
