Your reasoning is sound and I have no problem with that view. However just thinking a little wider, I support the Trinity club that happens to be situated in Wakefield. I have no loyalty for Wakefield as a whole. If I did I would have loyalty for Cas as that is in Wakefield.
Further to that kirkless seem to support sporting clubs in their district and they are spending money down Owl lane. You never know if Trinity move there, their support to develop the ground and its infrastructure could be increased. Many people in Wakefield have no problem of supporting Leeds Utd and that's not in the City, so I would have no problem in supporting Trinity playing down Owl Lane.
According to the logic of some on here they will not watch trinity at Owl Lane and yet if the played 200yds further down the road in Ossett they would happily continue to go. This must be some king of weird hang up.
So here is my solution ! if we move to Owl Lane, park your car in 'Wakefield' and take the 2 mins stroll to the ground.
Certainly a valid point, Buster.
But, you need to factor in the "human" factor, where most people dont like change and take time getting used to it.
Wherever we move, some people may prefer it and others wont and if they dont like it, there is a risk that they wont turn up.
Of course this would be the case wherever we moved, even if it were a brand new ground, within the "City Limits".
It's a while since I last went to the Dewsbury ground but, it's certainly in better condition than BV and hopefully it wont be a hard sell to get people to go there (assuming that's where we end up playing next season)
On t plus side, we may find that people prefer it and that we can sell the ground out every week !
