| Cheers mate I'll pass that on . He's back home now but has had to have his finger wired up for 4 weeks , touch wood after that he'll be ok .
More alarmingly he was more concerned about missing the Huddersfield game v crusaders .. must of had a big knock to the head as well !

| Good day yesterday at belle vue - crigg u11's played pre - match v heworth , acorn & orrell st James . We had to split our lot into 2 teams with one team winning one of their games ( including young mutts being carted off by st johns ambulancemen- he is fine) - the other lot won all 3 of theirs whalloping acorn in the process . Got announced at half time that heworth had won ! - must of been decided by this new voting system everyones banging on about

| cas panthers u11s travelled to east leeds last night for back to back midweek games, despite not training for over a week due to bank holidays and games the panthers won 14-18 having gone in at half time 10-6 down and having to play up hill in the second half the team knuckled down and ground out a win with a patient second half display.

| cas panthers u11s gave the opportunity to give a few fringe players a runout against normanton knights and ran out 42-6 winners.
only 12-6 at half time normy tried hard and played with plenty of effort but struggled to maintain it for the whole game, a pleasing result for us has we had all our better players either not playing or only making brief spells and the lads that came in showed they can perform.

Don't take this the wrong way Brayton but how the hell do you have fringe players at under 11, surely they are all equal members of the team, yes i know some will be better than others thats a given but its only a game and one thats played to develope all players not just the "stars" who lets face it, usually for one reason or another fade away.
They are only small children mate.

your quite right,we have 21 players and its pretty much impossible to give every child the same ammount of time in positions they want to play in and today was about them getting that time.fringe isnt the right word in insight because we are a squad where every player plays every week sometinmes players have to play where they dont want to just to make that work.

| taking about fringe players today the Stanley Rangers second team was at home and the first team hadn't a game on, a lad I know who plays was not happy at being dropped to allow a first teamers to take his place, bearing in mind that he normally plays for the second team you would of expected him to be picked before a first team player.
now he intends to move on well done the coaching staff of the open age

| We played at the Shaw Cross gala last year & Orrell St James were a great lot ( they were at belle vue last Monday & were spot on then too ).
Crigg u11's deservedly lost today against lock lane 22-6 . We're struggling at the minute with some bad injuries - 2 out with broken hands, thumbs - 1 out with bruised ribs - 1 out to a suspension from a hearing we didn't know about & 2 more carried off today ! But all that aside , lock lane looked far more up for it today than crigg . Their defence was as solid as a rock and in attack used a couple of players really well . No complaints at all - good set of players / parents too .
