Poore is a quality no nonsense hard running tackling big up and down front rower. Did you see him run over the top of the Hull KR hooker at home? hopefully he does more of the same this weekend.





If wakefield are to progress over the next 12 months they need him at 8 plus another front rower to back up the ones we've got for real go forward. That's how the space is created for the backs. If our pack aren't on top or at least on a par then our backs have got no hope.



You never know a good run into the play offs with an in form Poore and an apperance for exiles could help him into the England World Cup squad especially if Burgess brothers, Graham, Crabtree and Morley are injured.

I accept I may well be wrong about Poore going any further than a possible bench spot for the exiles but I agree with other posts that he is a key member of the pack.



He's been good enough to play State of Origin 3 times and I think a State of Origin team would probably push our best England 17 really close so he's met the standard before and is only 27.

Good props are hard to come by at the moment. Could this be the reason Kylie Leuluai has postponed his retirement and Hull resigned O'Meley. Wigan signed Lauaki but he seems to have dropped down the pecking order behind Crosby and Burke. They also forked out some coin for Scott Taylor from HKR. So when you look at the prop options we have, i would say we are looking pretty good. Maybe Poore knows this and is looking to have a strong second half to the season to up his stock, as we are not the strictest club when a player gets his head turned.

For what it's worth, I'm with you. Has been steady without cracking any pots in my opinion - done some nice things but done some equally stupid things too. Must admit, I was cheering as loud as anybody when he stuck one on Bailey and the pasty Ginge at Wigan - but agree or not throwing punches will usually land you infront of the beak and spending time in the stands, and on a tight budget like ours we can't afford to have a big salary sat watching through their own actions.



For our marquee signing, former state of origin player I think we should be seeing a bit more from him.



Reckon the imports get an easy ride sometimes from the fans, and there is a certain amount of blinkerednes when it comes to them. I mean, look at people licking their lips at the new lad who we don't even really know what position he plays.....



He hasn't been bad for us by any means, but certain players carry certain expectations and somebody with a pedigree and profile such as his (and presumably a wage packet to match) should be under more scrutiny to deliver than those "lesser" players.
