For me Scruton, like Hall has been a bit of an Enigma.



Half of the time he has looked lazy and interested but then at home earlier this year his try saving tackle v Salford was from someone who didnt look interested.



Didnt he stand up last year when we were strugling and instigate a drinking curfew.



Now for me as the season ended he wouldnt be my first choice but he is one of the senior ones.



Whoever we do get to replace him given his experience, he needs to be good.

Pointless now we've signed Sam Williams,as well as Miller being here and I don't think we should waste what could be our last Quota spot on him when it's needed elsewhere.

If it is only £2k, to put it into context comparing what he is probably earning, it isn't a massive difference at all really, and yes that will probably be swallowed up in petrol money.

The value of signing Scruton and Sammut was really to deprive Bradford during that 2 down season.

It's more likely to be the extra year being offered by Hull KR that will have sealed the deal. At his age which will 32 at the stat of the season, it will probably be his last.

Judging on the way this close season is going there is very little announced transfer activity at the moment. Don't players come off contracts on 1st November? If so then we might see a little flurry of activity then, perhaps.

We (Salford) have signed young hooker Kriss Brining. And apparently Dave Taylor and Lee Mossop but not 100%. There's really isn't a lot out there for anyone atm.

"Five new signings" is the thread title I believe. We've only announced Grix and Williams since then I believe so should be at least another three so don't really see why people are panicking.
