So it's possible the big SL clubs will outbid Trinity for Fifita and Walker with a possibility that either both or one of them are on their way to St.Helens...

Melbourne Storm just released several players....

http://www.rugbyam.co.uk/articles/news/ ... r-several/

Would Matthew White be a useful signing on a 1 year contract?

Amusing - does that mean Gareth Ellis is a Wakefield reject?

I understand the compulsion to talk down a player when he leaves your club, but to call him a reject when he's leaving a club that has just been relegated so he can stay in SL, hardly qualifies him as a reject.

It was a bit tongue in cheek. For a while you were collecting ex Hull and KR players, none of which were fantastic, including your current coach. You did OK last season because Smith has set you up. I expect Chester to erode that next year.

Walker is decent and would have preferred him to stay, but he ain't no Gareth Ellis.

Bad choice of words, but end of last season he helped get some systems in place and gave you a good pre season.

Those structures carried you through. Chester brought you a good scoring flair, but by the end, your defensive structures that Smith brought in, started fading away.

You might score a fair few points next season, but under Chester, your defence might be found wanting.

The thing is I know exactly what was done in pre season and under the Smith regime which you will probably never know. Regarding CC the scoring flair got us into the top 8 which most people did not see coming and the defence issues came when the job was done and certain players switched off, again something I know is fact.

Have to laugh, you're telling us that Chester will be found wanting yet you swapped him for Webster. Webster got you relegated as he nearly did with us whilst Chester got us a top 8.

Now I'm not a CC groupie, he's young with a lot to learn and even more to prove - however I think it's fair to say that with an 8th finish and a CCup semi final and what he achieved with you lot he's still on an upwards curve all be it very modest.

Why HKR fans need to bad mouth him I'm not sure - he did OK with HKR and you simply got rid to soon replacing him with a very poor Coach for that level. I'm certain had you kept CC you'd probably still be SL, but don't let reason get in the way of a good scapegoating.

Finally defence is the easiest thing to Coach, organise your players and give them a clear role - something I think all Caoches do. However the British game is full of players who won't always put it on the line - when the players are like that there is nothing a Coach can do - HKR's crash in last years CCup was IMO totally down to the players who either froze or bottled it, no Coach could have stopped that not even Brian Smith and his systems.

In wetherspoons. I remember him saying who you were as you left it I'd have come and introduced myself. He's ok for a younger brother I guess :D

Always asks how Jordan's going, but honestly I haven't heard of any signings and Jordann jets off for a week tonight so I'm even more in the dark .
