Was there a proposal to sort the North Stand out? I think there was, but I can't remember.

So much unused space at the back of the stand that is an eyesore. Sorting it out will increase ground capacity ready for being back in super league. Also, it will improve the look of the ground.

I think this should be tackled as a priority.

Sorting the sound out in there would be good as well.

No points for sound. Important but not a priority.
North stand I agree but I reckon that will be expensive.

Definitely. If I remember rightly, Ellis was on about putting food and drink kiosks up there, but then changed his mind and wanted it sorting out for more capacity.

Where there pictures of the proposed work on posters in the East Stand? I didn't see them myself, as I stand in the North stand.

Cheers for putting that on!

Hopefully, they will sort out the North Stand. We do need a larger capacity for next season. Especially for the Cas and Leeds games. The current capacity is about 7400? Ellis said he wanted 9000 average attendance in a few years.

It's amazing when you see on the Heritage page that in 62 we had 15 games over 10k and 4 over 20k. With Wigan getting 27k and 28k in Belle Vue in league and cup.
Maybe one day :D

That is truly ace. Only been watching since the 90s, so I've seen some big crowds for the million pound matches. Nothing like those attendances! We live in hope

This suggests the screen size parameter changed between July 23 and March 24?

I remember going to both the Wigan games as a 13 year old. At one of them, been only small and stood at the back on the West Stand side terracing with been late in, i was passed over the shoulders of the adults to the front.
Wigan living legend, winger Billy Boston, was literally a couple of yards from me as i got to the front, still vivid in my memory after all these years

Everything people say is correct regarding the North stand, but I will give you two reasons why it won’t be developed further for next year.

1: Ellis is a guarantor not a piggy bank. Every investment he makes will require a near instant return, allowing him to up the clubs income and save himself from bankruptcy. He will need to believe that an enlarged stand will be at capacity for more than two games a season. I don’t think we can guarantee that next season, unless we really do go on a roll.

2. A quirk of IMG is that stadium usage counts. A smaller stadium that is 90% full (Warrington) gets you more points than a big stadium (Hudds) that is 15% full. If we don’t do great in our first season and only average 5k then our 10k will count against us. It’s not a game breaker but you have to consider that in our first season back it’s not a priority, there are other more pressing developments. However a tidy up would be nice.
