We don’t want Jack Ashworth, 5 years ago he was one of Sts great hopes alongside Thompson, Lees & Knowles but he doesn’t have their discipline in conditioning himself, learning the game and playing to instructions.

I’m just going on the few times I’ve seen him play this season for Hudds. If as you say is true then I’m sure Apelgarth will know that.
I guess that Apelgarth has an idea of a few he is interested in anyway. |

Tom Garratt - big prop that KR paid a fee for was released due to concussion last month now fully fit to return after possible misdiagnosis. May be worth a punt. Kr fans seemed to like him. We need a couple of props too so may be worth a look.
Also they picked him up from Dewsbury so may be a local lad.

The reason Ashworth left Saints was due to off field matters - nothing to do with his on field performances or his development.
(And to be pedantic, Ashworth came through the Greenwood, Savelio, Richards era, rather than the Lees and Knowles era |

Obviously leaves him back to trinity as he has a contract with us for next season and 2024.
With a new coach taking over I’m guessing it’s chance for a blank slate. That includes Lineham who I thought was decent but came back a bit too early when he wasn’t fully fit and we needed bodies.
Although at Fev he looks a bit fitter and seems to have been playing reasonably well. |
