Would rather have Miller in team than Finn any day. Finn is stranded a lot because he has no speed, therefore not fast enough to get to a point on the field to work a move . Met a few ex rugby players who say Finn as been a good player in the lower league but to old and slow for s league.I would try Scott Moore in the half's do not think we would be any worse off. The halfback's have been a problem since D Brough left that no coach since has been able to work out.
Funny that because I have never heard anyone connected with the game who would take Miller over Finn, though I concede a few agree with you on Finn ability whilst others don't. What is a red herring is Finns pace, he's never had any but he could work a move at Cas and was more than capable when playing for Fev to be the best H/B on the park when playing Cas and Wigan in the CCup.
Sorry but Millers your problem IMHO and he has shed loads of pace so you've kind of contradicted yourself on that one.

Shedloads of pace, but absolutely no rugby brain whatsoever; he reminds me of Sammutt - speed, agility, plenty of bottle and the ability to occasionally pull off a bizarre solo effort that pays off, but no sense of what's going on around him, amongst his own players or the opposition.
I find it quite amusing that certain people on here are giving their expert opinions on Miller and Finn, the very same people who were almost nauseous in their fawning over Brian Smith, yet apparently he couldn't see all their weaknesses and was quite happy to have them as his first choice half backs so we were led to believe?! I'm pretty sure Smith said Finn would allow Miller to show off all his natural ability to the full, which hasn't really happened has it, am I right in saying Miller hasn't scored a try yet this season, but was scoring them for fun from half way through last season? All a bit strange, maybe Smith wasn't the coaching legend we were told he was by those on here.....
A deal was done with Tim Smith to keep him at BV for 2016 season, I understand that MC put in a great deal of work to get that deal done. Then Tim Smith lets the club and himself down, MC makes the tough call and sacks him at a time of year when all the deals / players have been signed up, we are then left scrapping the bottom of the barrel and end up with Finn and Miller. So in many ways MC was well aware that we needed some quality in the squad and Tim Smith would have ticked that box.
Tim Smith, that model of consistency eh?! We had such a good season with him last season didn't we, not. Don't get me wrong, he had his good days, but they were few and far between, playing well once in every 8 or 9 games isn't good enough.

We are without grix, Ellis, smith, Simpson, Wardle (he will definitely cop a ban). Eorl and huby may/may not play- that's 3 of our first choice props out and our back ups are all kids. (Although i can't say we will miss smith as he's not impressed me at all) Not sure whether brierley will play- but I'm hoping so just to bring a bit of interest to the game. Whatever the outcome I suspect it's going to be a dire game of rugby.
Tim Smith was class, everything creative came from him, have you ever considered Wildmogey that when you thought he was not playing well was because he was surrounded by incompetent players were clueless. This is backed up by what we are seeing this season, without Smith our only option is to hope that opposition miss a tackle. Tim Smith was a fabulous RL player with more skill and guile than the whole of this seasons squad put together. Don`t get me wrong as a person he proved to be a complete knob., but boy do we miss him on the pitch.

We're not short of injuries our self thanks for asking, but I wouldn't worry too much about your poor form it's bound to get better sooner or later

You don't normally talk much sense but in this instance you are spot on.
Smith wasn't great every game, if he was he wouldn't have been at Wakefield but on his day he was up there with the best in the league.
