Was getting 60k a year at wakey. For the majority of the season he got that playing for the reserves. Suppose ra sees wood as better value for money as the replacement hooker for aiton who will be first choice again. Good luck to him and good luck to fev, I'd have liked to have kept him but if it means we can strengthen the side in other areas then fair do's for me.

Yes its a shame when somebody who is playing well has to leave but you only have x amount of money and to have so many players who can play hooker doesnt add up at the end of the day...

Like to see Wildie get a go been getting more expierence, and wood and aiton perhaps more dynamic duo than ellis and wood.
Got to remember we signed ellis just after got licence so we may have had to pay top dollar to get him from going to another club.
Best of luck but with Aiton, Wildie, Wood im more than comfortable with our options in this posistion.

Pretty happy with Aiton Wood and Wildie - with the right coaching and more game time at SL level, the latter could very well be the next former?

Reaaly do feel that Ellis is a much better allround hooker than Wood and a better foil for Aiton, but Iwait to see hoew the strengtherning goes before bellyaching too much.

Shame about Spiers, thought a couple of years ago he would develop into a good prop, never really happened for him. I guess Lillycrop will take his spot. Morton just isn't superleague level i'm afraid.

We are certainly clearing some salary cap space with Motu Tony, Kieran Hyde and probably James Davey coming off as well. Be interesting to see who it is getting spent on. Quality over quantity by the looks next year.

If ever a players face did not fit it was Ellis our loss is Featherstones gain they mean business big investment going in and more quality players set to sign watch out Castleford

I've got to disagree with that. For me Aiton is one of the best hookers in Super League.
