once the game kicked off they decided to tell everyone who had been stood outside the one turnstile paying cash that it was full. stood at the south stand there appeared a fair few seats empty in the north stand all game. as a ground i dont think CP is that bad. decent atmosphere from the side stands and it strikes me as a good view from em both for the home fans. KR are hardly gonna put away fans first. that said ithe problems which did arise were terribly dealt with by the stewards who tbh appeared to have about 3 brain cells between them and thats being generous.
as for buying tickets in advance it didn't do a few people any good who ended up in the cheap end with full price tickets :)

There were quite a few in the North end that chose to stand up, as some usually do, in the corner so that could explain the empty seats.

Stewards are rarely mensa members, I think that is common to all grounds :D

It certainly seems like something went wrong regarding the away fan arrangements. I am sure that if you bought a ticket for the North stand and were told to go into the South, then the club will refund the difference, but I guess it will be difficult to prove at this stage.

Anyway, thanks for coming see you next time.

Home fans could get into the north stand without any problem. Any away fans that turned up at the turnstile at the north end of the ground were sent away and told to join the one very long queue at the one turnstile that supposedly catered for away fans.

It was pretty shabby really, and it is the only ground I can think of where the away fans are treated so differently to the home fans.

I had my Rovers shirt on under a combat jacket there was nothing to identify me as a home fan. I already had my ticket, went to the turnstile and straight in, a couple of Wakey fans went through at the same time no problem.

Like I said something clearly went wrong. If possible a letter or e-mail to the club will help to make sure that it doesn't happen agai. It's rare for clubs to bring such a good following to Craven Park so Rovers are not going to want to jeopardise that for the future.

I never turn up before 2:50pm and have NEVER had a problem seeing kick off.

As to quality of the ground or seating, I can take it from Wigan, FC or Hudds who play in good quality stadia, but WAKEFIELD  , watching a game in a landfill would be better than Belle Vue

Good home support though. You are heading in the right direction.

That side of my family are Wakefield fans, hence my comment.

Perhaps you can turn up 10 mins before kick off and get in if you're a home fan. We were stuck for 30 mins in a queue with only 2 turnstiles open.

Perhaps we can return the compliment when you come to BV and see how you like it!

We have stopped going to this away fixture after last year.

Getting shouted to stop standing every 2 minutes, pi**ed wet through seating, poor organisation, fans getting thrown out after 5 minutes for standing.

Imagine that, getting thrown out for contravening health and saftey laws. Who'd have thought it?

Oh come on - being a nuisance and breaking the law are something completely different. The problem seems to be that the stewards only work in black & white (if you'll excuse the phrase! )
