And I think the halfbacks improved so he had some direction to his running.
It can be a culture thing and if Proctor was on a "sightseeing trip", which he certainly was, it can be easy for others to follow.
The whole season seemed odd from the start.
Platers like Hall, who was excellent throughout the previous season, off form and Crowther, who, always, always gave 100% (and still does), pretty much cast aside, when other players were just going through the motions.
Of course, players dont always agree with or, get on with the coach and maybe losing so many decent players to other clubs had an unsettling effect on some who remained ?
Right now, we still seem in limbo, with lots of players finding other clubs.
It will be interesting to see who is still here and just who may be coming in.
Other clubs are already selling season tickets etc and we're going to be a little way behind, which isn't great when we are looking to bounce straight back.
