When Hampshire was mentioned it was that Leigh were signing the whole county of Hampshire

Lest hope we can sort a deal with Fifita because if he goes we'll have a hard job finding Props to support England, Hirst & Simon, especially as it seems a number of clubs are after new Props. It would mean we'd have to find at least a couple of Quality Props. Sure it will free up a quota spot but still.

Saints are well stocked on forwards - I'd thought half back would be their priority.

Agree, they've just signed Luke Douglas an NRL Prop as well. Add him to Walmsley, Amor, Tasi, Richards, Thompson makes at least 6 in their squad.

Speaking of Saints, Savelio would be a great signing imo. Not sure what Saint's are going to do with him next year and he's been out on Loan at Cas but would make an excellent second row/Prop for us.

Yes Saints have plenty of props.

That is of course unless we are using a swap deal as a bargaining tool with a current prop of theirs who is Yorkshire based :

I suspect our club are very frustrated with Fifita. We have done all the hard work to get him hear, agreed a deal for 2017, only for him to renege on the deal as he has now found he can get a better deal elsehwere. A lot of work gone up in smoke and, added to the potential issue with Scott Moore, and a potential departure of Tupou, it means we are a little way from where we planned to be at this stage - which would have been just a couple of squad places, not front line players.

Very disappointing if that is the case re Fafita. However, Chester had said he wanted another block busting second rower or words to that effect, so I would have expected there to be at least one more front line player even if Fafita was staying
