I can't help wondering if the deafening silence from RW lately is down to him waiting for the NM announcement.
My feeling is that if we get the nod, he'll start drip feeding bad news to Cas fans, in preparation for announcing a groundshare, 'after all avenues have been exhausted' etc etc; makes sense really - he can then sell WR for a sensible price, instead of the fabled figures they've been talking about, and trouser more of the cash for operating costs and such.
No it isn't HTH. In fact, it's nothing to do with Cas. Unfortunately, out of our hands but the planning application for WR is ready to go in and will go in once situation with supermarket operator is resolved.
My feeling is that their finanical future is contingent on the sale of WR, so I don't think staying there is an option. One look at their bargain basement approach to recruitment this season gives a fair indication of how strapped they are - I just can't see them selling WR then ploughing all the cash into a new stadium.
Time will tell.
The intention is to go into the new stadium debt-free. Again, HTH.
As for recruitment this season, IM had a budget. The money he had available to him was spent on securing the likes of Owen, Clark, Milner, Walker etc (our young kids) on better, longer-term deals.

That might be the intention, but still, you can get your pipe and slippers ready for when it happens!

No, it doesn't help at all.
I'm not interested in getting to an argument with you on this - I'm just expressing a view based on my observations; I'm not stating that any of them are a fact, nor am I suggesting that any of my predictions will come true - just thinking aloud.
It's an interesting aspiration though that the sale of WR, given that it's current market value will be significantly less than it was when RW first kicked his spin machine into life, will raise sufficient cash to wipe all the clubs debts AND fund the build of a brand new stadium. Good luck with that one.

I hope it comes off for you, when you've paid any debts you may or may not have you can throw the rest at the stadium build, good job you did that buy a brick thing otherwise you could not afford enough bricks.

They'll be an announcement soon enough but its not quite gone as well as hoped from a financial point of view. A lot of wheeling & dealing has had to be done and the deal on the table isn't as lucrative as once was hoped. That sadly is just the way of the world and supermarkets are cutting back on their generosity.
