Olympic athletes/teams arent allowed to benefit form cheating why should you. Medals are withdrawn and points deducted form the tables.
IN this case it warrants a 2 -4 points deduction for playing an illegible player IMHO.
If you care to look back at my opinion on this matter previously in this thread you will see I give a very reasoned case.
Punishing the club and his team mates is not the answer. The sole responsibility of taking a banned substance lies with the user, even if JK had told Kear to take it (which I'm certain he would never do) its up to the person in question to check with the relevant bodies whether it is within the laws of the game to do so. Newton cheated himself, the club, his team mates, his fans and the game, he is now being punished for his errors of judgement. Hell what if TN comes out and says he's been on HGH throughout the whole of his career, do you go back and punish Warrington(academy player there), Leeds, Wigan and Bradford???
