I’m old enough to remember the old littlewoods football pools. You’ll remember when football was played on Saturday. The idea was to pick which games would end in a draw, I think you needed eight correct draws to win cash. Well, one season due to several weeks of bad weather,I think, rather than cancelling the pools, they came up with the idea of having an expert panel to pick which games were likely to end in a draw.
Our forum prediction league could be run the same for the next few weeks rather than cancelling. It could be a lot of fun as there’s plenty of experience on here. What do you reckon folks.

It may take until the summer to agree on an expert panel on here

I would suggest that these fixtures could be played behind closed doors if necessary over the next 2 or 3 months, whenever possible. Maybe as double-headers to cut costs.
Ideally, attended games would start again by the time of the semis or at least the final in July.
People will be desperate for live sport by then.

The cup was slightly better, although no-one got even close to the margin of victory.
Big lads mate top scorer on 14 points
then Sixteen on 12 points
The bottom two on 12 points (16th & 17th places) also have the same margin so Mick Amos 9 WTW* goes through on being quick off the blocks and being first to post.

Top 16 (highlighted in blue) go through to the next round and will be drawn in pairs (whenever and if ever that will be)

The "pools panel" used to sit if there were more than so many postponements.
It's to be hoped they dont employ Gary Schofield on the RL panel or we'd be relegated every season
