Didn't the sewer line collapse at new Wembley causing the opening to be delayed and a lawsuit between the FA and the builder (Multiplex)?

I agree with ME with what I've seen of the quality at BV. Having 30 years of construction background I am surprised with some of the stuff that the supposed tier 1 Project Manager we employed let them get away with. But that's just my opinion, and not necessary that of the past or current owners, or of this forum. (Think I got the disclaimers covered?)

Walked past the stadium earlier, a tree services van was parked up in the gateway by the Doncaster Road gate. I can only imagine for the trees at the back of the north stand.

Tree Services? It's probably guys from the bottom of the common stripping cable or copper pipework.

Ha ha, I should enquire about tarmacing my driveway.

They were called AJP Treework, and had a Ponte number.

The gates by the turnstiles were open, and they were parked in the gateway, with some skips right at the side of the van.

Must be clearing some of the trees, or at least cutting them right back, as I cant see them helping much in any further development of the north stand. Most appear to be with in the boundaries of the stadium

When I drove past this morning the tree guys were back and have now felled all the trees behind the North Stand :thumb:

I got told this morning that the final payment to Morgan Sindall is now due and until it has been paid then they allegedly have no legal obligation to put any issues right such as the current water supply issue ??
If this is right, then I am sure that ME will pay it and hopefully Morgan Sindall will then pull their fingers out and get the matter quickly resolved

Usually they don't get the 10% retention until the client is happy, not heard of it this way round.

Would have thought we'd have no leverage if we paid in full. What guarantee have you got that they would then do the necessary work?

As I understood it, it was a fixed price contract, covered by the funds already gathered.
Ellis shouldn't have to pay an 'final payments'. That should already be accounted for.

Exactly, all works were covered and Ellis will I expect have nothing to pay for regards east and north upgrades. If there is a final installment it will have been in holding I would imagine.
