So where has all the money come from to build it and then for all the improvements?

I think they have sold off surrounding land they must have owned, a new housing estate right next door now and they run a very successful and large car boot every Sunday of the year on what remaining land they own.

Cheers for that mate, sound like shrewd operators if true.

ALL options are being looked at at this time. If this thing goes legal - IF - then it will be costly, lengthy and far from a guaranteed outcome. Decisions like that would not be taken lightly at all and will be the very last resort.

As a Trust, we do not always agree on everything, but we do take account of everything going and we make, together, the best judgement we can given all of the information available. You may not always agree with me, but then neither do my fellow Trustees - that's just how it is.

We are well aware of the mood out there and the reasoning for it - believe me, I share the frustration, but it will be a collective decision taken when all avenues have been explored.

If we are beaten in this (and it's not over yet), then it certainly won't be for the lack of trying!

For the record, the Trust members are:
Chair - Sir Rodney Walker
SWAG - Phil Townsend (me)
Residents for Newmarket - Jonathan Stone (Inflatable Armadillo)
Eric Timmins
David Hichliffe
Michael Carter
Chris Brereton

Also attending meetings, but not sitting (purely as to be independent) is Ian Bramley representing the Supporters Trust.

If this lot haven't got your back - who has!?

PS - the Trust has no say in the operation of the club. The decision to move away from BV in the short to medium term is one for Michael and Chris alone, albeit they keep us abreast of the situation and are conscious of how it sits with the Trusts position.

Ie, if we move to another ground that will the clubs choice. It will affect the Trusts position, but the work of the Trust will continue regardless.

Going past BV this morning, noticed that all the concrete blocks have been cleared from the Superbowl car park.
Any significance ?
