Luckily we have Mills and Powell that actually watch these players closely and understand the value they bring to a team.

Cam Scott was last out on loan 4 years ago, when he was 19 years old, not sure why that would be seen as a negative.

Russel has 100 SL appearances at 25 as a half back, I'm sure that probablytells you something, he was voted the player the giants fans wanted to keep most last season, getting there wagstaff trophy, that's a fan base that watch him every week and have picked him out.

Trueman is absolutely quality who's been unlucky with injuries, last time he worked under Powell he was a Great Britain international at the age of 20. Thought he was absolute quality against Wigan.

My god what a sad rant, The one thing that I can say without doubt is how much Max has toughened up this season, anyone can see that. He’s not NRL or International class but he is SL, end of. You sound unbelievably bitter.

You must understand that these posters are experts. They were all internationals, all champion coaches, have all the badges and are privy to every team meeting, training session whilst knowing every SL player. How dare you question them.

Joking aside, I don’t mind opinions. What I mind is people who form them without any real knowledge.

I’m ambivalent on all our signings other than TJ. The rest I will give the benefit and wait until they have played a game or two before deciding. Sadly said posters just want to be right, even when clearly wrong.

Given that this time last year we had lost 14-15 games on the trot, come the year end we’d lost most of the players that we’d developed over several years, club was effectively bankrupt.

Find it incredible that anyone would look down their noses at Truman Scott hall parcell etc. Effectively there’s only really max in our projected likely starting 13 , sl squad left from the squad that started last season. Of course I’d rather we’d signed be a French and jai field to play stand off and full back, maybe mikey Lewis at scum half lol .

Truman when he signed for hull looked like next gb stand off (and still could be), Scott has been in hull squad for 4 years, same with olly Russel in my uneducated (my last coaching gig being oulton under 9’s) opinion the turnaround in the playing squad is nothing short of sensational.

Maybe we don’t have a top 4 squad but am certain we will win a lot more games in 2025 than we did in 2023

The reality is that it’s almost impossible to create a top SL side in the first season. Teams take time to build and people need to accept there will be interim signings, as the players needed rarely come along all at once.

I don’t really like so called 5 year plans, but it’s still more plausible than a one year plan.

Give Powell and Ellis time and your money and see where it takes us.

Regardless of the opposition (luppy issue), I'd love to know the last trinity player to pull off a tackle like that.
