Funnily enough, Hull has just remembered how to play RL since about the 60-minute mark and have just been playing off-the-cuff stuff. They certainly can't set up an attacking play to save their lives though. It's now 30-22 but they're gonna run out of time. |

We travelled up on the supporters' bus and it was flagged down by the team bus, somewhere up in Cumbria.
David Topliss came onto our coach and said that the game was off. He said the team had done their 'loosen up' and gone back into the dressing room, whilst our Aussie half back, (Helliwell I think) stopped out to practice his kicking. He went and found the rest of the team and said that the water on the pitch was over his boots. As he was the team joker, he wasn't believed until a Whitehaven official followed him into the room and confirmed it.'"
Definitely an evening game as we arrived towards the ground as we were told the game had been postponed it was on the radio John Dunn radio 2 , 6-45 sports news said the game had been postponed. Spent an hour in the Wordsworth Arms in Cockermouth, then fish and chips then home. |

He’s been carrying a few niggles for about four weeks now, so seems a great opportunity to rest him. Olpherts and McGillvary will kill them out of backfield.
Pleased with how we line up today - really interested to see how Booth goes, and glad to see Powell partner Lino with Kay. Can’t be certain Gale will be fit even for the big games so be great to have a rehed, solid backup pairing.
Not sure what role Rodwell and Pitts will play. Can’t see Rodwell being as effective as a wide-running back rower, so assume we’ll either play really tight and direct with him, or Pitts will move out there in good ball. Would love to be proved wrong with Rodwell though, maybe he can do it all.
