He's not turned it down its still on the table, he's still another season on contract.
Would you rush to sign?
no I wouldn't, not if I wasn't bothered who I played for, and my worth would be greater here or elsewhere in another 10 months or so!
If however I was satisfied with my lot, then any well meaning pay rise I would be happy to take.
The question is, is he after the money, here or elsewhere, or does he want to be part of the wakey resurgence?
That's up to danny and his advisers, that's the way of the world, and we have to accept that.

Thats how it is, can we convince him and find the right deal for both parties.
No player is bigger than OUR club, so its got to suit all parties.

I think either, we can make him really believe we are going somewhere, or he will go somewhere, where he can get that, a bigger club if you like.
Or he will go anywhere where he can get more money, we aren't a bottomless pit, we can only offer what we can afford, I believe we are probably in the bottom three clubs as far as finances are concerned (a guess!!) that then is a money decision, he is right to take it, but if it's not to a top 3 club then he has little if no ambition, only getting a larger bank book.
cant blame him at all, simple fact its his job, and i dont think many of us would snub our noses at 30-50k more pa to do our job elsewhere, I hope he stays but if he leaves than dont blame him, blame the stayaway wakefield public!

Thats about the size of it, another 3k on the gate and we could keep him and others.

... But the club won't address some of the issues why some are staying away.
1 - Alcohol served during the match causes some people to be not nice and they put some people off coming along
2 - Stewarding still is not as good as it should be
3 - Sky matches limit our attendances unfortunately (not clubs fault) but the more we are on sky, the less people attend
These have all been brought up previously, and I still see little change. I am one of these fans who live a long way away and don't attend as often as I could. The lout atmosphere in the crowd at times, and the reported trouble around the ground at some matches - these don't inspire Wakey residents to come out of their houses. A new way of thinking is needed next season or they will continue to have these attendances.
Sorry if you don't like to hear these points spelled out, but its how I see it.

I have yet to witness anything like threatening to a riotous level or anything a threat to my family when I go and I have been religiously for the last three seasons and I stand at the trailer bar in the corner and even have a laugh with the opposition in the queue,
what puts supporters off is the ground and the ability to view the game and this will all end when we get to be tenants of the new stadium at Stanley
