Again, sound idea, but the problem with things like this are they lessen the incentive to get a season ticket and ultimately lead season ticket holders to feel aggrieved.
I think promotion, marketing is the key longer term - Shudds have shown crowds can be manufactured out of nothing, but it takes money and a fairly successful all round set up.
You would like to think the season ticket holders would be pleased especialy if the offer worked.
Ladies day for the Quins game, what about a day for the guys for once?

If you are asking me as a season ticket holder, would I be happy to see gates go up, of course. However, people buy season tickets in the knowledge that you get a couple of games free. Each discount on pay per game tickets the club makes, it reduces the worth of the effective discount season ticket holders get. Some season ticket holders would therefore next time decide against purchasing in advance. The club loses out on the security of guaranteed income up front. If the ex-season ticket holder misses a game they would then get nothing. If the ex-season ticket holder takes our usual mid-season dip in form particuarly badly, the club may lose even more.
As for mens day, it is a nonsense not even worth explaining, albeit for different reasons than why ladies day is a nonsense. Royal Ascot Belle Vue is not.

I was taking the pee about mens day, women get in free yet all the guys have to pay
Most other clubs put offers on for some games against the teams that would normally get lower gates. Sure there are many ideas they could run with.
If season ticket holders were affected a lot they could offer the season ticket holders a discount on next years s.ticket , a Discount on next years tops to boost sales etc.
I am not too fussed how much I save on my season ticket, I buy it because I want to support the club not to save money, that is just a bonus.

Let's come up with ideas then. We need ones which get people in, but want to make them come back for the next game and the next game.....
When we've had 'acts' on before - do we ever follow up and get the people back when there's no 'X Factor' loser on before the game? You sell the sizzle the first time, next, they come back for the steak.
If only there were more Peter Deakin's out there - and yes, a winning team helps - but you can't imagine Bradford struggling as much with his ideas still around.

We can go round in circles on this one Adam, it has been done to death before. Essentially though the flaw in your solution is that in order to raise gates/revenue, the club should offer discounts, which in turn annoy existing customers, thus in turn necessitating the club offering further discounts to existing season ticket holders to compensate for this. Now whilst I don't claim our BoD to be overflowing with Nobel Prize winning economists and enterprise czars, I'm guessing they have decided that demand elasticity within the RL supporter market isn't sufficient to make up for losses that would be incurred by such a business model.
As for mens/ladies/transgender day, my response was meant to indicate i was taking the pish, as indeed were you.
God know what some fans think at times as to why they don't go. No doubt the Hudds game will have put a few off going.
Cheaper tickets is bound to work especialy for sky games, pub near me was full of people watching it. Reason they did not go to the game - "cheaper to watch it in pub"
So they want to save money by going for the cheaper option. The club not only lose out on ticket money but the beer they would get through also.
Bottle bar used to be cleaned out at some of the games but a lot of people from that area are not coming to game as often as they were
That was the only negative thing about the match and it is a big one. Surely if the club want to see big crowds for TV matches, why can't they reduce the admission for that match, they'll get revenue back through SKY showing it anyway. If the weather had been poor, OK that would have been respected, but yesterday was a glorious day, perfect for watching, but 4 500 for a match that yes, may have been on TV but no excuse with such fine conditions.
fill the ground by letting kids in for nothing, better full than not. fans arnt coming due to being out of work, 18 quid in 2.90 a pint its wakey not wembley, 3.50 a crap burger. it all adds up to a dear day add to that the product and boring rugby at times and thats why. i know a few whove stopped going cause its boring there opinion and there choice.
