What was the con?
They asked openly. People who wanted to give money gave money.

No one said they were dividend earning shares.

Always baffles me why anyone would try to ridicule or disrespect someone who put some money into the club purely to help the club.
Whether board member or fan buying member shares.

Could say that about everything fans buy from the club People in Hospitality,give about one thousand pounds per ,season .My attitude is ,it is there money and people can spend it on what they want , and it is nothing to do with any body else
