We’ve a fight on for our very survival in super league still very much on ,if people hadn’t already noticed ,yet still choose to bash and discredit the club on every occasion, how these are fans of the club ill never know .3 Days since our superb win against huge spending opposition and social media has started up against bashing the directors of the club , specifically Minards . I suggest that if these plonkers put as much effort and energy into actually supporting the club instead of sowing seeds of discontent at every opportunity we may not have been in this position . Here’s the thing , no amount of hearsay or rumours will make the takeover happen any quicker , it will be finalised when it’s ready and not an hr before . Surely our short term survival is paramount at this time rather than the toing and froing of emails and the like from solicitors/lawyers on the take over . Anybody thought that our precarious position may just be one of the reasons for the supposed delays in the take over ? , Surely a super league club is worth more that a championship club to a perspective buyer .

I get that MC can get under some peoples skin… but I do not understand the vendetta against JM… the simple fact that he - almost single handedly - achieved an outcome that has seen the facilities at the club being improved substantially… and without which, a future as a super league club… AND the ability to attract new investment would be totally impossible.
The destructive negativity of some people baffles me…the subversive and vindictive nature of some of the behaviour is unfathomable… the deep seated hatred in some of the language is unforgivable. I cannot believe that these individuals have the best interests of the club or the community at heart.
It’s endemic and chronic… to the point of sickness!!!

I think the top and bottom line, is that fans are concerned about the clubs long term future, bearing in mind when it was first mentioned back in early June and also by Michael Carter in the Trinity Times, both with a 4 week timeframe, maybe that was a bit optimistic.
I'm a big believer in under promise, over deliver.
What I will say, is I saw some posts last night, and they weren't all vile like some can be.
If this does fall through, for the reasons being said, then there will be fans left with egg on their face, both on here and RWB Army who have been blinkered into believing that everything is ok.
Lets be right here, no takeover is going to be fully in the public domain and it absolutely shouldn't be. The bottom line is that if/when there is news to be shared, it will be.
In other news, Wakefield AFC staged their first game at BV last night, a 2 - 0 victory.

If you have any proof that any one on the Trinity management team is deliberately blocking the transfer of club ownership, then please provide that proof and prove the majority of supporters have been fooled. If you only have hearsay, then keep that to yourself, you, and a small number of so called fans on here and RWB Facebook are causing unnecessary strife for the club at a time we should all be pulling together.

Fortress BV
I went last night. It was pretty good. The other team really put 10 men behind the ball so it took a while for them to break through but the goals were well taken.

The most recent takeover of a rugby league club has taken years at Wigan and been conducted mainly outside of the public domain.
The influence in the boardroom of the new owner at Wigan has grown as the takeover neared its conclusion.
Our takeover is in relative terms the blink of an eye compared to the timeline on that one however I think the boardroom influence is similar with the Ellis influence clearly becoming increasingly evident.
My guess is any formal announcement won’t be made until our SL status or otherwise is confirmed.
From a PR point of view it makes a clean break between old and new and also gives the club and history to judge this season.

We are talking about the "long term" future of our club here. Struggling to understand why some on here think the takeover should be/have been completed by date X. Takeovers do not work like that. There was no way on this earth or fullers that it would have been completed in four weeks - surprised that MC said that tbh..... There are many facets to a takeover of any organisation - even small ones. I am ready and waiting for an official announcement - either way - then it can be discussed properly and at the correct time then. But not now. Really don't get the mentality of some "supporters" of our club who appear to take constant delight in bad mouthing people and the club for doing this in the correct way. It bolis my p*ss tbh.

Agree I must be one of the biggest fans for been negative about most of the signing we have made and the Coach but pride was put back in the club last Sunday .My take on the take over is, if it was not for MC and JM there would not have been any thing to take over except a crap ground that was not fit for Championship rugby .Remember in there time at the club, they have had to fight there way through ,a guy who owned the ground who the police investigated , a corrupt X Chairman who took away the 106 agreement ,a Wakefild Council, that did not want to get Wakefield a ground .And a so called building firm that had no intention on delivering what the had promised .All I can do is say a big thanks to M C and J M ,because we would have been in the brown stuff without them Time to get behind them and the team
