So, the same developer has acquired the ground and the superbowl site ?
On the basis that there could be difficulties in developing the SB site, whilst the ground is used for rugby, especially with some shared access issues, does this strengthen or weaken Wakefield's position and IF we were to move away (to Dewsbury) would this change any "rights" that are currently in place.
Finally, could the developers be acting with or on behalf of any other interested parties ie. Yorkcourt etc
IF this is true (and i have my doubts that it is signed & sealed as it is still listed as for sale on the property sellers site and as far as i'm aware still under the ACV which would prevent a sale for another couple of months) then i can't see how it is a good thing in any way for us. Even if they were willing to purchase on behalf of another party then there's a pretty good chance, given the lease is reviewed annually, that the rental cost would be rising pretty damn quick and become too much for us to stand. Moving to Dewsbury would mean us giving up the lease so the access would become irrelevent for us, it would be a decision for the seller and purchaser to sort. Given they have the superbowl tied up then it would be a pretty easy conversation.
