I am not saying their is anything wrong with being selfish in wanting the best for your club. what Im saying is it may be more harmful than good campaigning under banners that you have no real conviction for. Basically why not stick to telling people why having a new stadium for the wildcats would be good for the wildcats as that is your priority. Why should anybody take notice on any other aspect when you clearly have a vested interest.
I take it we disagree and It is regretful if I have offended you in any way, I actually believe in your aim of getting a stadium for you club, I just feel your methods may be self defeating.
It would be interesting to know what you opinion is of the other points I have made are, such as the club being used as a sweetener in the planning process for the developer, or the real opposition the project faces.
And as for the game being up, not at all, I will freely admit I removed the post after a someone else backed up your point its called being wrong, something I am not afraid to admit! the skit at you still stands that you seem willing to provide the pitfalls on other peoples plans, yet bound on in the face of the obvious flaws in you own, using anything and anyone as pawn's in you game.
Make your mind up - one minute you're luaghing at us, the next you're suggesting that you support us.
There are no 'Pawns' in any 'game' - merely a desire to be part of something good for Wakefield.
exposed as what? ( cue childish remarks) some one who disagreed with a post, saw he was wrong so removed the post!!! Yep thats me exposed then..
No, exposed as someone who comes on here trying to come over as though you are interested in having some debate about the development, then going on the Cas board and taking on yet another persona. It's a simple matter of credibility and you are running low.
But for my 2 penneth on the matter, I agree that everyone on here will have the Stadium as the main focus for the support campaign and in fairness many wouldn't give a rats booty whether the development went ahead or not, if the stadium wasn't part of the scheme. However, seeing as though it is, then there is nothing wrong with getting behind the scheme and highlighting the other benefits.

At least your being honest about what you want.
My post on the other forum was made out of frustration at the lack of real debate on here, I made some genuine points about things such as the use of a lettter writing campaign, objections from other groups( leeds met, other developers) and the way in which swags campaing may be seen seen by others.
I hope some on here will be able to debate the very real issues that Wakefield face getting thier stadium, and how they intend to address these. The WE and nimbys are a waste of you time and effort and focusing on these shows are real lack of understanding for the bigger picture.
I might also add I am a rovers supporter see no real chance of us getting the green belt on our land reclassified, for many of the same reasons you will struggle.

I think that the Newmarket site has this as a positive factor.
Everyone knows that building must take place to maintain, never mind grow our economy.
Land that is adjacent to the national infrastructure (e.g. motorways), is preferred for development above "landlocked" areas such as the land Featherstone want to develop.

But just think about it. If Newmarket gets the nod from the planners then Fev's chances are also greatly increased. Whats good for Wakey is therefore good for Fev and thats what you want isn't it ?
For what my opinions worth, I think we are all pawns, we need a ground (and that's all we're bothered about!!) but to get it we need the whole development, and that's what the developers want ( and really all there bothered about!!) the people of Newmarket lane don't want any of it and they know that the easiest target, and indeed main target is the large industrial development because of it's size and the fact that without it there won't be a ground aswell. At the end of the day we have absolutely zilch impact on all of this, despite what others on here say or think, this is big business and really that is our best hope, the land has been bought for good reason, to be used, millions of pounds of land sat there for no reason is no good to the developers and that is also a warning in itself to those people who are so opposed to this development. If this doesn't happen something else will, so think on! As for us lot sit back and wait, we have no power in this, the antis have more but nowhere near as much as the developers, who will sure ultimately provail.

That's just about bob-on that, except for one thing - individually our opinions matter littel, but put 15,000+ opinions together and you have a substantial public voice. There was luck about either the timing or the effort put into the petition. We knew we could do this once only and we had to make our voices count - and that is what we have done.
The other stuff raised on here, dealing with Leeds CC, other developers etc, is not the business of SWAG and as such we will leave it to those with better knowledge of such deals to handle.
I'm not uncomfortable at all with where we are - because I believe that what we are doing is right!

yeah, your still kind of missing the point really. What's done is done, where we are now and forward from here, we have no power or influence. We need to let the developers get on with it because they are the only ones that matter, and the most at stake (financially), and then we get what we want, hopefully.

I'm missing nothing. We have a massive job still to do - and we have a massive influensive power that we need to keep involved and alert. SWAG was formed to influence the politics in Wakefield - and the final say on this will be the politicians - don't forget that!
