If people refuse to buy a season ticket just because they don't agree with the appointments that are announced then it just goes to show what kind of fans they are. Its a clean slate and they deserve a fair crack at the whip before they get persecuted. Remember its the club we support, coaches and players come and go so get down there and buy your bloody season tickets!

It's not the regular season ticket holders (700?) it's the new ones we were trying to attract. The appointment of either Agar or worse Chester will not attract any of the waivers. We will not reach the 2500 and then the ones who have the option to drop out because they don't want to pay £175 will drop out.

I'll certainly not be taking up this years £175 option as my own personal protest and will expect my close friends and relatives to do the same should Elstons pals be installed shortly.

I take it from your comments then that if and when we do reach 2500 by the end of September you wont be staying for the £100 offer?

I'll take the £100 offer purely for financial reasons, as will others who I have prompted to join. This is extremely hypothetical as Agar's appointment will kill the offer stone dead. The standard early bird offer has never been taken by me for purely financial reasons as I can never guarantee attendance at sufficient home games. I've taken it before (like I also took the Eric France sponsorship offer just before the million pound game when we didn't even know what league we would be in) just to give "the club" extra cash earlier.
I don't really want to stop supporting the team so I will have to be satisfied with token gestures, letters to the press/club/forums etc etc during any period that Agar (or Goulding for that matter) might be in charge.

There will be light at the end of the tunnel I'm sure. Many of us older fans have seen Trinity used before as a vehicle for individuals personal gains and I'm sure the Elston/Agar example, should it happen, won't be the last time.

Re: Coach Update : Wed Sep 07, 2011 9:30 am
I am absolutely sick to death of this now.

Agar would not be my first choice but I have to admit I'm no expert on coaching techniques as most of the other posters on here appear to be.
Having said that I support Wakefield Trinity and will continue to do so, so I will give him my full backing until such time as he proves he doesn't deserve it. That is not before a single game has been played under him, or even a dozen games. Let's see where we are at the end of next season and then judge him.

If you have a problem with the way the club are doing things then join the Supporters Trust and get the membership numbers high enough for us to be able to represent the majority of the fans and we can then use that voice to address issues. That is what we created the Trust for. Everyone has a chance to join up, become a member of the board (if you're quick) and to hopefully influence the decisions the club make in the future.

For now we cannot do anything other than support the club and the decision they make.
