That is all well and good but that doesn't excuse the lack of action before that. We came into Super League mostly on the back of promises about the stadium. These were not delivered upon, apart from a block of flats a toilet block, an inflatable tunnel and an electronic scoreboard. I understand your defending of the club with the current NM affair, but lets be honest if it wasn't for the need to have a licence to compete in Super League it is doubtful that the NM plans would ever have been considered.

With the utmost respect to Widnes, Halifax and Barrow. They have been in worse positions than us but have done something about it.

The people of Wakefield do understand that but the club has to understand it has to be a two way street. You can't ignore the 'people of Wakefield' then feed them scraps and expect them to answer a 'Together We Are Stronger' rallying call.

Remember the 'Block of Flats' and erection of said were included in the clubs initial administration meaning they didn't actually cost us owt to begin with. Mind we can always blame Pearman for that can't we !!
The 'toilet block' was a grant so that leaves the 'inflatable pussy' and a 'electronic scoreboard and timer' that has to be switched off with a couple of minutes to go because it's a bit out :)

I'm not sure why you refer to the 3 stated clubs. What did they do? Widnes, well the council built them a ground; Hfx, well they eventually got a ground built by the council; Barrow, their ground - with all due respect ain't up to much, but they have got Jamie R.

Two words as to what they do look like they have BUSINESS PLAN or if you want BRIGHT FUTURE. Two things we don't appear have at this moment in time
Those 3 clubs seeing how they are the ones vying to take our place in super league. Widnes council may well have done their stadium but the club have come back from the brink has have Halifax. Barrow may have nothing to write home about stadium wise, but they obviously tick the boxes as far as the RFL are concerned.

Not got an issue with the rest of the post, but to say that the club have struggled to deliver on the Stadium issue is a bit tight.

i]As someone involved in a small way in the process I saw at close hand the way in which WMDC duped us and dumped us - they were utterly convincing when promising Thornes and there is plenty of evidence to support that. [/i]
As for NM, sure we're all frustrated by the current delay, and we're all conscious of the implications, but all the parties involved have worked hard to get this far this fast, with the only significant delay before this one being the period earlier this year when WMDC tried to force the ground share issue. We fought that then and believe that we were right to do so then and still believe it now. To have any future for professional RL in Wakefield, we need to keep fighting for NM and I only hope that enough of us will support this fight.

Management regimes come and go, so whatever you think of them (and I appreciate where the volume of support lies), we need to remember that Wakefield Trinity belongs ultimately to the City and the people of Wakefield. That has always been my motivation and in that one issue alone I think we have the one thing that still unites all on here - hopefully!

I have to say TRB that I hold WMDC partly responsible for the grand mess we are in now. To lead us down the garden path into believing they were going to deliver a stadium.

A stadium used by only one club in a district which has three would not have been fair.
A stadium costing 60 million quid paid for by a council which does not have enough money to throw some salt down on the pavements would have been an absolute disgrace.
A feasibility study costing thousands which wasted months and confirmed what anybody with any common sense could have said.
That stadium was never going to get built fact. It was a pipe dream. Just like the pipe dream taken by the club when promised money by Pearman. What I could never understand about the Pearman issue was that a club that had been skint for years could not have waited a little longer (before splashing out on big player contracts and hospitality suites) to see the colour of someones money but hey!
Going back to the council I also blame them for not banging heads together years ago. They should have helped in the planning process and encouraged Cas and Wakefield to come together in a joint stadium (not a merger).

Rant over.

well kear will not go weve no money, but i can see him getting some right flak this season. the richardsons run the club like a family corner shop, its our club, the fans and we should damand change through protest. we cant keep going on like this, yes imloyal to the club but we wont have much left if this carries on. do you think fans will desert us next year, it looks like were in for the fight of our lives to save the club, ted and the rest will have to be carried out kicking and screaming. he will never sell he likes the limelight too much

Would you be willing to organise protests against the way the club is run? How much support do you think you would get? I'm just not sure enough people would agree or care enough to get involved.

Sorry fact is I think there is nothing fans can do, theres no one to sell club to so theres no one we can back, unless someone with megabucks comes along in next 12-18 months or so I think we may be heading for at best the nl or at worst for the end, simple fact is our base of home fans was not enough last year, i fear it will be less this year, and when we move away it will diminish again, thus the money will keep going down and the playing standards will drop leading to gates dropping further etc etc etc its a spiral and its already started.
The only action we can take is to try and face facts and ask ourselves honestly what do we want from our club?
And perhaps face the toughest 2 decisions ever,
1 do we need to put in for a franchise now or drop a league and consolidate / rebuild
2 Do we need newmarket until the above has happened?

That paints a very sad picture but one that's hard to disagree with. I dont think the people running the club can be trusted to make those tough decisions.

The stuff regarding Thornes Park is absolute nonsense even a know nothing moron like myself could see that it was a non starter and if the club gave up even a half baked idea for it then they should be hung for that alone. I struggle to believe, looking at their track record, that those running the club will be able to deliver a plan a,b,c,d through to z.

i think at the moment we have our backs to the wall as fans, its just one balls up to the next. imo i dont even think weve hit rock bottom yet. we can only go forward when we do. thing is i think we all know how bad things are so its a waiting game at the moment. if we win a game or two then jk will be the messiah and lord ted another lifeline, if we start getting hammered then discontent will grow. there is only so much you can do within the law for protests, banners and chanting but the bod is stubbon, if the time comes il gladly stand at the front of any protest. every fan cares some are too daft for their own good at times but get involved we will see. i think certain fans and some on here underestimate the depth of bad feeling around the area towards the club.

as for thornes, well we could of gone for ossett, or denby dale and the bod messed them up. at the time WMDC talked us in to the thornes fiasco, we nearly had the power station sorted and the bod pulled out.

the fight will go on and the support is growing

I think we have lacked a truely independant supporters club, who could have taken the fans point of view to the BOD

I dont know if James Elston has been fibbing but you certainly have been fed some bull poop by your chairman and mr Walker. I hope you get the pp but I think those in charge already know their fate and will just milk the club out of existance. Its the same for Swag, they have been hoodwinked too and thats the real shame cos they were doing it for the love of the club.

Good luck from a cas supporter too scared to gloat cos were not out of the firing line yet
