To do this we need to use every trick in the book. Thus delaying payments to the IR is an obvious one as it keeps the cash flow going.

I think you'll find this isn't what's happened. The money owing is not connected to normal payments to HMRC, it's over and above this. It's tax and NICs due on money that's been "illegally" paid tax free.

No idea whether Boom is right, but that could only be on image rights paid to offshore accounts for the overseas players to collect on their way home. If so many clubs will have fallen foul of this, it’s just the perhaps the majority have the capital to pay it off before court actions are taken against them.

I'm pretty sure if the club didn’t use this loophole that many of their rivals will have been exploiting then they would also have been criticised by some on here for lack of initiative.

If all payments are met in 12 weeks then all this will have been a lot of fuss over nothing. Hopefully the club can fulfil their obligations.

Wakefield fans <> the real world...I suggest a few people come down from their ivory towers on this one and face up to the reality of being a Trin fan - something most of us did years ago. As stated many times before, nothing will change and we will always struggle until we get a new ground - that in case some have not noticed is what all the fuss has been about since SWAG began.

Move on

PS: Idea Mopsey, it's fans like you and the never ending bitter, negative, badmouthing that you and others continually peddle that puts folk off as much as anything else IMHO. Think about it.

isn't due to the fact that if you want to keep competitive you have to spend and then hope the crowds and sponsorship follow?

the worst thing the rfl did was scrap the 50% of your income could go on players salarys.

The worst thing that ever happened was full time clubs RL can not sustain full time professional clubs bar maybe Leeds and Wigan
the rest of us all lose money season in season out most have a sugar daddy we don’t time for the game to get real
even if a club turns over 4 million then spend 1.7 million on the players salary cap they then have ground maintenance police stewarding staff costs tax ETC ETC it dose not add up the attendances in RL can not support full time contracts.

Hull have been profitable for the last 3 seasons, without the aid of a major investor. It can be done, although expectations of performances on the field may need to be trimmed back.

hull have a bigger supporter base which helps, we are desperate for a new ground and we know it,
if we can ride this out and get Stanley up and moving I will feel better
