Mountain and Molehill media scare mongering.

All you have to do is look at the London High Court Chaucery website and you will see that companies larger than WTWRLFC could ever be are being brought to court by HMRC

http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/cms/ ... ancery.htm

Just look at the first listing.

Just imagine, how further we would be up the creek if we had to pay tax on the actual rather than recorded attendances.

This whole thing stinks!! I know there are a lot of people on here who are very friendly with ted and his cohorts, and I mean no offence to you well meaning people, but the whole thing is embarrasing.

Ted you have been good for trinity, in our hour of need you were there, but it's time to step aside, there is money out there, and it is being stopped from coming in because of the current regime.

And before I get jumped on by those in the inner circle, I get mine from
the same place as you.

This link is not the winding up list, it is the company dispute list. Vision Express are taking HMCR to court not vice versa. This one last sat on 4th November and the full list of cases heard is here.

http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/cms/ ... inding.htm

On that list is another rugby club - Oldham

PS I have interest in this as my former employer is also on that list.

A number of other clubs will definitely have larger liabilities than Wakefield. However, if those clubs can settle the outstanding bill with HMRC you'll never be any wiser. Don't forget some of the owners behind the larger clubs have much bigger pockets and can more easily absorb a hit like this. It's only because Wakefield can't pay that it's reached court and therefore the media.

Wakefield fans <> the real world...

...will they ever meet. I doubt it reading the claptrap written on here by some.

WTRLFC is a business or that's what everyone claims they want it to be (when it suits).

We are in a massive recession with lines of credit a hard thing to find. We entered this recession in a weaker position than most and are now scrambling for survival as are many clubs. To do this we need to use every trick in the book. Thus delaying payments to the IR is an obvious one as it keeps the cash flow going.

It's like when you run up your credit and turn them into a loan. It may cost you a little more but it makes things manageable until things pick up. It's not ideal but it's how the real world works especially right now!!. The fact that it makes cheap headlines is neither here nor there.

I suggest a few people come down from their ivory towers on this one and face up to the reality of being a Trin fan - something most of us did years ago. As stated many times before, nothing will change and we will always struggle until we get a new ground - that in case some have not noticed is what all the fuss has been about since SWAG began.

Move on

PS: Idea Mopsey, it's fans like you and the never ending bitter, negative, badmouthing that you and others continually peddle that puts folk off as much as anything else IMHO. Think about it.
