| I wouldn't be sorry to see Hall go if that comment earlier is true. I'm more sad that Paea has gone because I don't think we really saw what he can do for us. Injury prevented that.
Hall has shown what he can do and to be honest I'm not very impressed.

| Good grief we have been provided with a reason for every rumour earlier this week it was Collis but yet I saw no lack of commitment today. I note today it is Hall, he is not in the team so must want away therefore one of the players singled out by Carter in his radio interview.
I think it would be better if he now came clean and name those he was referring to in order to prevent this continuous assumption and the usual tirade that follows on the forum. We will now have this continuous uncertainty the problem is that we have the smallest squad which is getting smaller. I would like him to now state where he expects to find suitable replacements and who will identify them.

| We don't have to have anything of the sort. What went on in the changing rooms between M C and the players. I think he was right to challenge them and hope they man up. They have been given the option to go if they prefer. If it's best for the club let them.

| I agree Lampy. He doesn't have to name them. They just need to put effort in and we'll know.

| On his pre-match interview on Radio Leeds yesterday Stuart Dickens said that Carter said what needed to be said. The players had to hear it and it was an honest clear the air moment.
When the Catalans chairman had such an out burst last season it kick started their year. Our little chairman out burst probably came a bit later in the season than I would have wanted. It happened because Carter had lost someone who he really valued. He was hurt on a personal side not just financial.
I think Carter did the right thing. If the consequence is it sets us back 1-2 weeks but we finish stronger at the end of the season then I'm all for it.

| I know he can't name them but neither should he have gone to the press. I would suggest whoever we appoint offer them a bonus to keep us up because let's face it we are a basket case who will only survive in SL despite what some on here believe.

| If MC hadn't gone public about what he said to the players, then probably more fans would have stayed away for the Widnes game and he would have been criticised for not caring. The guy cannot win!!Damned if he does & damned if he doesn't.

| I have to say this is a difficult decision
Kear has a job and so will need to be convinced
Morrison has a job and they won't let him go this season so is a future appointment rather than immediate
Kelly seems like a good plan as he ticks a lot of boxes but he has been out of the game a long time and I wonder whether he could do it
Apparently the guy at Gateshead (who was at Cas......who's name eludes me) is interested but I've seen nothing on his CV that makes me think he's the guy either
JD would be a great appointment but he has a better gig now and really isn't an option to us.
Karl Harrison has some credentials but I'm not sure about him. Assistant at Bradford, not even head coach, but a possible
On that subject, Cummins is being talked about but he doesn't strike me as the tough leader so I'm not sure he's the man either.
So I'm no wiser really................I guess we'll see.

Dave Woods is the name.
There is also Nobby, who will have applied and apparently a couple of Aussies who have 'experience' over here.

Is Woods still at Gateshead?. I thought Stanley Gene was coach there.
Going down the Aussie route Mick Potter might not be a bad call.
