I don't understand why lots of people are having a go at TRB and AL. From what i have seen, these two put their time and effort in and love the club and if every other supporter were as committed to the cause as much as TRB and AL then the club would be far better off.
To all those people who are constantly having a go at the club, you should support your club through thick and thin. You might not agree with everything that is done but you should still offer your support. If you as so called supporters are not willing to do this then the club is far better off without you.
1. The reason people have a go at these two in particular is because they are simply in the firing line because of the way they defend the club (rightly of wrongly). As I posted on another thread some time ago people need someone to shake a stick at when they want / need answers. The club that people are so quick to defend are the one's who put these individuals in the firing line. What we have is a couple of passionate supporters who have gone above and beyond the role of the casual supporter. As far as every supporter being committed to the cause - they are committed to the cause, but no believing in the BoD or people within the club does not make a person any less committed. If you are looking for everyone to go along with everything club has to offer at the moment then can I suggest you move to Disneyland. You will find the fairytale you are looking for there.
For argument sake can you please tell me how a club that barely survives season after with decreasing attendances would be better off without the supporters who see it differently.
The fact is we are in this position because of the Chairman and the Board of Directors. They were taken in by Pearman, there are the one's who promised that our stadium would be updated when we won our right to super league (on appeal). Three years ago they were aware that things needed to be done to either sort out Belle Vue or to move. Once again they have struggled to deliver but have never struggled to point the finger at other people when it goes wrong. It's true what they say about excuses 'They are like butt holes, everyone has one and they all stink.'
The frustration comes from the lack of information, whether it be good or bad. I, along with many others don't expect the club to publicly state their accounts or go into great detail, but surely there would be less doom and gloom if somebody told us what was being done to try and maintain our future not only in Super League but as a club.
Just a simple statement along the lines of 'We as a club are frustrated at the decision for the current stadium plans but please bear with us. We have a fall back plan, unfortunately we are not in a position to release details until after our shareholders meeting.'
Instead some vague line now and again followed by the standard 'Together we are stronger'
