Fwiw my opinion is we should the trust the people who's job it is to build the team to to do there job, far too early to see the big picture, with a new coach bound to be changes. Judge the team in Jan/Feb not now, far too early
I'm sure you agree that respect is hard earned, and while everyone at the club IMO is doing a sterling job, that doesn't mean that every decision should be blindly followed.
What's best for the club, is what matters, not the individual and not necessarily what fans agree with.
I remember Keegan getting flagged off on the steps of St James park, when he sold Andy Cole, the rabble were quick to go quiet when he signed Alan Shearer.
Sometimes you have to be prepared to make a sacrifice to go forward, in the case of AM, a fee for team strengthening plus the addition of two decent squad players is a result as far as I can see.
Fans forget that to the people who have to balance the books and make the club progress have to view it with at least one eye on business, not both eyes on fanaticism.
Time will tell if this sacrifice has worked, all I can say with any confidence is, we are looking far healthier going into this forthcoming season than when we kicked off at MM, and for now that is progress, but the challenge for all at the club is to keep that progress year on year.
