It would appear John Minards has fostered some strong relationships with various bodies and organisations…. And while this purely my opinion… is there not a role there in the future for JM in making sure that this continues, if/when the takeover happens?

That would be ideal really. Whilst we would all like this to go through quickly I felt assured listening to our chairman that he is working in the best interests of the clubs future.

Yes
Knows the club inside out..
Has good relationships with the council , IMG and the RFL which will be invaluable in any up and coming negotiations.
Is doing what he said he was going to do and is delivering on the East stand.
Partnered up with Morgan Sindall and others for plan’s regarding the rolling shack .2024 I think was mentioned last night..
I’d be more than happy to see him in the role , working with Ellis..

Certainly would have the knowledge.

Looking at it from a different perspective though, Matthew Ellis may want his own team, and start with a clean slate. We've had instances in the past, and I'm sure we're not alone, by having previous CEO's board members stay on into the next regime, and it not be a success.

The Ellis' family business is very successful, ran well in all aspects, if he wants to make a serious difference to the club, and bring in his own team, without current board members, for me, I'd be OK with that.

It's not that I wouldn't be ok with it so much as, where is he going to get this team from? It won't be his current team. They are running the kitchen business.
We have a lot of projects moving well but not finished.

If Minards stayed, he wouldn't be a shareholder, he'd be an employee. ......with vast knowledge of whats going on and a leader. They'd be foolish to overlook him.

fresh start needed, drain the swamp and get rid of all.the hangers on and grovellers. He'd be nothing more than a distraction from a previous regime.

I didn't call him one, that's you again trying to twist things. Jm needs to go he's come up short, hes tried his best but it's not been good enough.

I could see why he would want to do that…
Let’s hope that if he does have a team behind him they have a decent track record for such things..
Mike Rush at st Helen’s would be a start….
