I must admit that before these started I thought Salford would comfortably make the top 2. Now they seem in trouble and potentially destined for the MPG. Their victory over the Giants might have saved them though.

It becomes more interesting by the round. Am happy to watch with interest this year knowing we are safe.

Thank God we are not involved. We have been luck to take advantage of a crazy season and one I would not expect see happen again. Yes we have broken new ground with some of our results but in general had it not have been for a drop in formal of both Leeds and Huddersfield neither us or Widnes would be in the top eight. Our attacks slow and our defence abizmal our points difference shows that fact. I fitness levels also dropped off. Without quality recruitment I see an end to C C honeymoon period. Anyway that's a old gits start to the day and I'm off.

I'm over the moon not to be involved in the middle 8s we definitely dodged them at the right time. Next season could also be a trial.

I'm obviously glad we avoided the middle 8s but what I've seen the middle 8 looks easier this year than last HKR & Salford seem to have slumped big time at the worst possible time the last few weeks players suspended, walking out etc & Leeds & shudds have looked nothing special. Next season unless something special happens we will be battling around the middle 8 but we all know that, will there be a championship club as strong as Leigh next season?

I was saying the same at work, depends how the relegated SL fairs next season, that's assuming one goes down.

If Leigh get promoted, which looks nailed on then, a SL club has to go down. It's just a matter of who.
IF it's Salford and Koucash walks away, they would be in a pile of brown stuff that they cant escape from and that cant be good for the game and IF Leigh are the club that gains promotion, apart from them having some noisy fans, they wont add anything to SL.
Crowds will be similar to the relegated club, they're a short walk from Wigan etc.
Having said that, after topping the Championship ladder 3 years on the bounce, they deserve their shot at the "big time", even if it means they will be back in the "relegation league" (qualifiers) next season.
