I do think we will miss him in the short term as he is a England standard 7 in my book (far more rounded player than Eastmond, Myler, Burrow and McGuire) but life goes on. With regard to Kirmond, is he still injured or is he ready to go now?
Don't think we'll miss him at all, Sam Obst is a natural scrum half, that was his position before he came to us but the fact that he's been turned into a hooker for us means that most of his training would be related to the hooking role hence he sometimes looks rusty when being pressed into the halfback position, when he took the mantle on at HKR while DB was in the bin and again on Sunday he looked a better player than Brough to me so given a fair run of games at S/H I believe he will turn into one of the best in the league, add to that the arrival of Cooke who, IMO, has more class than Brough and the return of BJ later on and I personally think that we are in a better position player wise than when Brough was here.
An added bonus to all this is that we now have Korki at the club permanently and we won't have to go to Hudds at the end of the season to try and work out another loan deal for him which could have proved difficult had they had any problems with filling their propping positions.
IMO Brough going will help us move on in the same way that Solomona leaving did, someone will stand up and be counted, and we have got rid of the disruption in the camp.
IMO now that deal is done it's time to move on, both clubs got what they wanted out of the deal so there's no point arguing about who won, let's just forget Brough and enjoy watching the players that want to be here and are doing a damn good job of entertaining us so far this season.
I said before that season started that I thought we had a shot at top four this year, what's happened this week doesn't alter my views in the slightest.
