I shall be churlish and question the rationale behind the Easter fixtures when players and coaches talk about player recovery time and when 4 valuable points are at stake. An earlier than the planned 7.30pm kick off against neighbours Castleford on Good Friday would not,in my opinion, affect the attendance but would allow the players a few more valuable hours rehabilitation, after a local derby, before going to Wigan on Easter Monday for a 3pm k.o. ( Wigan play their derby against Saints with a 12 noon k.o. on Good Friday while Castleford host Saints with 3.30pm k.o.on the Monday)
I just feel this hands Wigan an advantage and one that isn't necessary.
( I am aware of the Easter success last season with the late k.o. for the first game)
