brilliant game. really enjoyed it. spoiled a bit by the ref but loads of positives. murphy, george, ferguson and morton look right at home in that company now. morrison looked like superb signing if we keep him fit

really enjoyed the game! agree that morrison is going to be a quality player for us aslong as he doesnt get injured. Tronc was great, Millard looked good too. Really suprised with Murphy, wasn't expecting him to be that good but he really was awesome. Thought Moore and King looked average compared to Korky and Tronc but they were still solid enough.

Slightly concerned about letting in over 70 points in two games but suppose they are only friendlies.

Cant wait for first game of the season!!! Roll on a successful campaign for the mighty trin!

Disappointed to lose but good game

Morrison and Jefferies linked up well and caused Wigan a lot of problems... Tronc (dubbed the new Dallas Hood by someone who won't be named  ) looked a great signing ... reminded me a bit of David Fairleigh (Saints) bit strong physical yet has a good eye for an offload, Millard and Newton were solid... with Terry putting in some good hits. Korki looked very hungry for ball and looked in great shape.

Roll on quins

To be fair i think the result is not really important more the performance, and while both teams have much to work on Trinity looked far more polished overall.

Tronc had a good game my only concern is that in his later spells Wigan seemed to "work him out" but this could be due to match fitness, initially he could do what he wanted and Wigan were powerless to stop him. Halves looked very good, Murphy was outstanding.

Penalties for both sides were killer think both sides scored off the back of most penalties and defence needs to be worked on by both sides.

Morrison and Newton controlled the game nicely, and Morton showed some nice touches as did Gleeson and Murphy.

The pass to send Murphy in was a belter classiest part of the afternoon for me, but it still took a great finish.

Short kicking game was also superb from Trinity.

Again i really enjoyed the game today, just the feeling of pulling on the shirt again and getting to the match was great!

I thought we played well today, some lovely attacking expansive rugby league. Was really impressed with Morton, Morrison and Murphy, how good was his try?!! Broughy put in some lovely kicks and the chip for Gleesons try was a peach! Big Tronc looks good, but i think a lot of work on his fitness is needed.

Overall very impressed and a worthwhile game today, work on the defense and we will go well!

Roll on 2 weeks!!

Re: its a game of 4 quaters : Sun Jan 17, 2010 5:55 pm
Didnt like the four quarters, stopped us winning!!!
really impressed with some of the combinations shown today, some great passing moves.
Aaron Murphy looks good at full back doesnt he?
Can Richard Moore stop offloading in his own 20 metre area please...
Lovely pass by Morrison for the winger to score in first half
Good game but I like winning...
Looking forward to season now :D

joking aside we was taking about the stand outs for this season and two players got the mention, Morro and Tronc and boy do they look quality, BJ look sharper, Murphy is making a good back up for full back and Morton is making a name for himself,
disappointing to lose in the dying seconds but pleased from what we saw today, for wigan both riddel and feka have trimmed down massively and look threatening

bring on the season :D

I agree with the positives. Some of the young lads were excellent and i think morrison was outstanding and will bring on the young lads too.

However its ok scoring 38 but losing the way we did and conceding all those points is not good enough (i know it was only a friendly but it brought back bad memories of leeds at home). Also if we have Brough out who'll take over the goalkicking duties?

My only gripe was having to pay £7 for my 4 year old. Really poor in my opinion that, at every other ground we have been to both my lads have always got in free, even the all seaters.

These are the kind of fan the club should be looking to attract, i will not be taking him back this season, he enjoys a half then becomes a bit restless and its not worth paying for him.

Think under 6's should be free, at all clubs.

The pricing system was poor. I agree for at least friendlys children should be let in for free also i think for adults it should have been dropped to £10. Whos great idea was it to charge £14? It was obvious they'd run out of pound coins and some people where i was had to come out of the que to try and find some change and i think little things like that put some people off
