We don't NEED the Brough money - only if a deal can't be done and WE feel that it's best for our club.

We are paying what we owe, as agreed with HMRC, that's what it says in the statement and that's what's happening - although it is disappointing that we were clearly a little behind the schedule at one point.

it a funny comment to make and so brief and to the point, if the club hadn't said anything would this of come up in a general meeting?

usual worries when no more comments are coming forth makes you what to panic

I'm guessing, but it MAY have something to so with image rites payments. I do know that some clubs were under investigation (not sure which ones).

i'd say a good 60% of companies in this country owe vat or tax in some form. thats business .

If we're "getting our retaliation in first", then you'd have to assume that there'll be something in the press in the next few days.

Even if we're complying with the agreed payment plan, this sort of publicity is the last thing we need.

then if this is a retaliation should we not go that bit further or are we waiting to counter act with some positive spin its whats required

Maybe this will explain the reason for the statement. There's probably 16,000 similar statements being made as we speak.

FIRMS that have taken advantage of HM Revenue & Customs VAT holiday are being warned to get their business in order before their Time to Pay arrangements come to an end.

According to figures more than 16,000 businesses in Yorkshire have delayed payments through the initiative worth £278m in VAT owed.

That is my first thought, knew of several clubs who had used this to exploit the cap, think Wire were major culprits.
