It's not complicated. You count the away seats. You subtract from that number the amount of away tickets sold. The number that is left is the total amount of cash away fans you can let it.
Or the Rovers way:
make everyone queue to one turnstile, let anyone in with a ticket or otherwise. Scratch your head and notice that it looks pretty full. Let the game kick off. Then tell the long queue waiting to go to the other end. When they get there, let the stewards and turnstile people mill around scratching their backsides and notice that it will take a long time for everyone to get in. Eventually, just to stop the moans, open up the second turnstile, which seemed to be as complicated as unlocking a gate and going behind a counter with a red bowl. When someone complains that they have got a twenty pound ticket for a ten pound end, just shrug, glad that the Rovers made an extra ten pound profit on every extra cash payer in the north stand.
