Arrived late due to weather, traffic and accident on the M18. North stand was sold out so got directed to the South Stand and was pleasantly surprised to find it was only £10 - bargain. Not the best view being so far away and putting up with foul mouthed KR fans (well, 1 or 2), but saved enough for a chinese supper on the way home!

It was a good showing from your fans in atrocious conditions, and certainly put Leeds to shame. As Trace said I felt for your lot (and ours) in the North Stand particularly in the hail before kick off, although I don't see the point about not being able to get a seat as that stand was nowhere near full.
I think most Rovers fans will be glad when improvements are made for the away support, but we're hardly on our own in that respect.

I would have thought that you may have seen a pattern emerging by now as every set of fans that goes to CP appears to have complaints when they return, you migth be better thought of if you accepted that there are problems and tried to deal with them rather than fob every away fan in the league off as whingers

From the comments above it makes me wonder why HKR bother to number the seats/tickets, delusions of grandeur?

I had tickets yesterday and had no problem getting in but i'm assuming the problem came about because KR we're trying to ensure that the North stand was full first mainly because the view at the South is not that cracking.

That said, it could have been organised better, they knew the East Stand and the Roger Millward stand were sold out and must have expected this issue arising.

As long as they learn from it then that is the main thing im my opinion. It could have been worse like Warrington's first home came in the HJ

Apparently you sold 300 tickets and sent the rest back. Returned tickets would then go on sale to Rovers fans. If you don't buy a ticket then you can't really complain!

It's not complicated. You count the away seats. You subtract from that number the amount of away tickets sold. The number that is left is the total amount of cash away fans you can let it.

Or the Rovers way:
make everyone queue to one turnstile, let anyone in with a ticket or otherwise. Scratch your head and notice that it looks pretty full. Let the game kick off. Then tell the long queue waiting to go to the other end. When they get there, let the stewards and turnstile people mill around scratching their backsides and notice that it will take a long time for everyone to get in. Eventually, just to stop the moans, open up the second turnstile, which seemed to be as complicated as unlocking a gate and going behind a counter with a red bowl. When someone complains that they have got a twenty pound ticket for a ten pound end, just shrug, glad that the Rovers made an extra ten pound profit on every extra cash payer in the north stand.

Have you tried contacting the club about a refund? Nobody should have to pay full price to stand in the South Stand (well, except Hull FC fans!)

I think someone did, so I was told, and was told that it was Wakey's problem, as that's where they bought the ticket from (which in a legal contractual sense is probably accurate).

To be fair to Rovers, Wakey fans tend to pay on the gate as the away support is not so big that tickets are usually needed, and the form of both teams perhaps made the crowd bigger than anticipated.

And it was nice to only pay a tenner
