A sad night but not unexpected. It would only be the Wakefield way to send it down right to the wire against an inform team but unfortunately this year, it was not to be.

A reyt stint in Super League and something to be proud of IMO, not running with the sort of money other clubs have yet we've still stuck right up there. Not competing for the league, no but we've had some bloody good wins in the time I've been watching.

A different year next year but who gives a poop. Up the trin

It was confirmed the moment we appointed Applegarth as head coach with no senior coaching experience and let Carter cosplay as a director of rugby with no rugby experience

A win tonight would have taken it to the final game. Something that looked impossible at the start of the season. I'd have backed us to beat KR but I think Cas will beat Leeds easily anyway.

It's a sad day today.

The vultures will be on here doing their little dance gleefully blaming everybody and its hard to not get drawn in but ultimately we are relegated and we'll have to put up with it for a while.

I'll be there to say goodbye to Super League and some players next week.

I look forward to see what we'll do to prepare for next year.

I said after the Hull friendly it was a low quality squad. Vastman told me I was wrong and that I was a low quality fan. I wonder if he'll come back tonight and apologise.

No complaints from me, we were the worst team and deserve to go down. Time to clear the decks and start the rebuild.

I think you’re completely wrong PT, those “vultures” care as much as any fan you’ve ever met and they’ll be gutted to see us relegated. Just because they don’t share your view doesn’t make them any less of a passionate fan.

Well our coach achieved his ambition of taking the club into a new era by being the one to oversee our relegation. I would like to congratulate the incumbents and their yes man for succeeding in our 150th where others failed. I suppose it will be a legacy that many supporters will remember and have to live with after they have left the club.

Nobody is happy about it, just that a lot of people didn't believe us when we said it was a foregone conclusion from the start of the season. If certain fans had have listened, then perhaps we could have all come together to try and influence change at the club when there was still a chance to change the outcome - but they decided that they wanted to blame those of us who could see what was coming for not believing hard enough and of being plastic fans
