To all the Wakefield players and supporters I would just like to share what this picture represents.
It represents more than the delight of ONE INDIVIDUAL, this photo represents a promise and an honesty that a group of men made to each other. There were several twist and turns over the six game period and plenty of easy ways out but we refused to accept that relegation was our destiny. Players looked after their futures but stayed committed to their promise and never wavered on the commitment.
The Wakefield wildcats have given many players opportunities when other club turned the backs and there are several in the current squad who know exactly what I mean. Sometimes players need opportunity and the wildcats have often provided it with only one thing asked in return. Respect the jersey and fight til the end, win lose or draw.
Saturday night the 17 players will carry the hopes of the fans, the club but most importantly of each other. This club has never been relegated since gaining promotion to SL and now the 17 chosen will represent the tenacity, desire and never say die attitude that is the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.
