Well, the worst has happened and it looks like the work starts again in the New Year.

The only conciliatory words I have is that is highly likely that the Public Inquiry will go in Yorkcourt's favour, as 75% do, and I anticipate this will be no different.

The NIMBY's have won this battle but I still think they will lose the WAR... pun intended!

Well, when we prove the NIMBY's objections wanting in the longer term it may or may not prove to be the case!

Certainly is and its going to need to be pretty impressive.

Although,im afraid today will end the club as we know it.

Terrible news, and i think we now have to work on plan B whilst the inquiry is in progress.

How long will the enquiry take and is there still a chance we can be playing at Newmarket in 2012?

I think so, I think the inquiry will move quite quickly but not before the applications, which leaves things very open ended for a franchise application!

Gutted for you guys and the benefits that MY council ward and city will lose out on!
