I think the point being made is that Glover put lots of money into the club but his mistake was not overseeing the running of the club because that was left to Elston. He trusted Elston and that was his mistake but he certainly put his money into the club and when the tihs hit the fan he made it easier for Carter and Brereton by completely writing off over £800k and walking away. Had he not done that then I think the club would have been unsalvagable in its current form, we would certainly have been demoted to League 1 and been left a shell of a club
