Their legacy if you want to call it that, though Minnards hasn't left, is leaving the club with a ground that will help us survive no matter how the on field in going.

I'm not defending them blindly. If we'd been relegated in the past we'd almost certainly be down a long time, if alive at all.
Now at least we have income streams that will give us the boost to keep the club going while the onfield rebuilds.

And although it looks bleak, we are not relegated yet.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Does anyone know if further diversification has been explored for the ground?

We're already bringing in a football club, would it also make sense to establish or bring in a rugby union club too to boost usage and visibility of the stadium throughout the year

There isn't a big enough club near by to play at Belle Vue.
So not enough money for us. We'd be better getting another reserve football team where the money is.

Seeing as RU teams have been brought into the conversation,
Wakefield used to have one of the best RU teams in the country and this is not so very long ago, they got good crowds, they had players who played for England, even an England RU captain.
Wakefield RU Club are gone. Trinity if they don't get there finger out ,could go the same way.

That was in the 'supposed' amateur days though.
The ground capacity was only 3000 ish. Was never going to be a big professional club without a better stadium (hmmm, that sounds familiar)

They had some great players but never competed with the top clubs.

Sorry PT,but they did compete with the top clubs, they were the best team in Yorkshire for quite a number of years, and one of the top teams in England during the same period.
The beginning of the professional era in RU though probably was a catalyst of their demise.
They failed to keep up with the rapidly changing era of pro RU.
Lets hope Wakey have not made the same mistake with what is likely to be major changes in t Rugby [Super] League

Rugby Union is a pitch killer at the best of times, EB (hello, hope you are well), and you seem to be having a good few problems with yours as it already stands.
